I Walk My Own Path

As human beings we are unique. Even though we may experience similar things, we are still unique. No two people will see the same experiences in the same way. If we did, we would all be clones of each other. Expectations are put upon us from an early age to behave in a certain way, or follow a certain path. It is important you take your own path, despite those external influences.

It is also important to put your own stamp on things, to make your own mistakes and to take responsibility for the decisions you may make. Never be swayed into thinking your decision isn't right, just because someone else has offered you another opinion, or choice, or doesn't agree with your decision.

Also, you shouldn't feel guilt-tripped into taking their path because you feel you may be letting them down. If you are not able to put your own stamp on things, other people's core values may become yours. If we're lucky enough to be born to parents who allow us to make our own decisions, we will walk our own path in life as an adult. When we are not able to make our own decisions and we're expected to fall into line, it may come at a cost.

If you have the opportunity to b an independent thinker, you may build your confidence and have faith in your own abilities. You may also take control of your thoughts, of your feelings and how you want to live your life.
